HP Type 344 (tri-color) and Types 337 (standard yield black ) and 339 (high yield black) ink jet cartridges are used in numerous DeskJet printers that require 2 cartridges; one black and one tri-color (cyan, magenta and yellow). Printers ship with standard yield cartridges. Both standard and high yield cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.

Note: Printers using cartridge types 337, 339 and 344 may also use other types of ink jet cartridges (i.e., HP 94, HP 95, HP 97, HP 131, etc.).
